Minority Applicant Pool System of East Tennessee was organized on July 1, 1992 by Ludell Coffey, Executive Director of Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service, Inc. Cassandra Coleman was hired as program coordinator on June, 2003. The M.A.P.S. program has been in operation for 10 years, has addressed over 100 groups, and more than 2,636 people in homes, churches, community centers, interagency meetings, workshops, telephone calls, and media contacts. M.A.P.S. is continually gaining respect in all communities in Knoxville and other counties and is highly recognized and utilized by the Office on Aging, Adult Protective Services, Home Heath Care Agencies, and healthcare providers. M.A.P.S. provides services to all clients and families who are in need and have difficulty understanding the complicated maze of nursing home placement. Minority Applicant Pool System is a statewide program located in the major metropolitan areas of the state. Site locations are:

Chattanooga, Sharon's Adult Day Care Center

Nashville, Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency

Memphis, Regional Medical Center

Knoxville, Senior Citizens Home Assistance Services, Inc.
